Orchids-The timeless classics! This gorgeous, flowering house plant is a staple amongst new, and seasoned gardeners alike...Just look at those blooms!
Light- These orchids can stand lower light, but will be happier and be more likely to bloom in a brighter location. Within a few feet of a bright, East or West facing window will do the trick-or even several feet from a South facing window.
Water- Orchids want to get their roots wet, but they don't want to sit in water! Make sure to not get any water on the actual leaves, as this can cause rot. I like to water when the potting medium is dry-usually every 7-10 days or so, but check before you water.
Temperature- Keep away from drafty windows and cool vents. These orchids will do fine in regular household temperatures.
Fertilizer- Fertilize with special, orchid fertilizer only.
